Dr. Enders has worked in the mining business for over 45 years since earning a BSc in geological engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Later in his career, he earned MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Arizona. Steve ultimately went on to become the President of Phelps Dodge Exploration Corporation, and then Senior Vice President of Worldwide Exploration for Newmont Mining Corporation. He has more recently been the Chairman, Director and COO of EMX Royalty Corporation, and he is a co-founder of Cupric Canyon Capital LLC. Dr. Enders has been at Mines since 2009 as a Research Professor in Mining Engineering, Department Head for Geology and Geological Engineering, and Director of Subsurface Frontiers before his current appointment as Department Head for Mining Engineering. Steve is a Mines Distinguished Achievement Medalist and is on the Board of Governors for the CSM Foundation. In addition, he is on the Board of Directors of Copper Mountain Mining Corporation and the Board of Advisors for Brooks & Nelson, LLC.
