Carolina is a sustainable development professional with experience in the mining, energy, and consulting sectors. In her current role, Carolina oversees planning and strategy of global capital projects for Glencore Zinc. Her experience includes governance, project management and technical and regulatory advisory roles with a multi-disciplinary and sustainable development lens. She has worked in projects across the world with a strong focus in the Americas. Carolina has taken part in and led cross-functional teams, complex approvals, analyses, and public stakeholder engagement in support of resource development and sustainability goals.

Carolina holds an Master’s Degree in Zoology and Ecology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and certifications in environmental assessment and sustainable finance. Carolina participates in the Mining Association of Canada’s Environment & Science Committee, and also serves as a non-executive board director for Women in Mining Central America, supporting the advancement of sustainable development in the industry and mining education initiatives.
